Frequently Asked Questions

Your healthcare should be fully transparent.

Click the questions below to learn what many patients wonder about receiving treatment at an urgent care facility.

  • When should I go to Access Urgent Care?

When you need a medical provider to attend to non-life threatening injuries or illnesses, visit us at Access Urgent Care

No appointments are necessary, and we offer lower costs and shorter wait times than emergency rooms. You might also visit us for chronic health or medical concerns when your primary care physician is out of the office, on vacation, or unable to see you in a timely manner.

  • Do I need an appointment?

No appointments are needed to see a medical provider at Access Urgent Care. You can simply walk in when you require treatment. For your convenience, we do allow patients to schedule appointments online, by phone, or via email.

  • How long will I have to wait?

We guarantee minimal wait times at Access Urgent Care. After completing registration, patients are seen within five minutes or less. Their entire visit is usally completed within an hour.

  • Are all urgent care clinics the same?

Unfortunately, not all urgent care clinics provide the same level of care. Not many facilities provide treatment from ER trained providers like we do at Access Urgent Care, which allows us to provide quality care along with x-ray imaging, intravenous therapy, and laboratory bloodwork. We are also able to provide this care at a lower cost than emergency rooms.

  • How is an urgent care different from the ER?

For non-life threatening injuries or illnesses, the care you will receive at an urgent care facility is the same as what you might receive at an ER (often at lower costs and in a fraction of the time). However, some illnesses, such as strokes, heart attacks, and serious head injuries, should always be seen in the ER.

  • My child is sick. Can I bring them to Access Urgent Care?

We treat patients of all ages at Access Urgent Care, including toddlers and children. If your child is suddenly sick and/or has a fever, we recommend bringing them in that day. We provide extended hours for just that reason: children are often sick when their pediatricians are unavailable.

  • Can I have a physical at Access Urgent Care?

Yes, we are happy to provide DOT physicals as well as physicals for school and sports at Access Urgent Care.

These physical exams usually require the following information:

    • Photo ID, or a parent/guardian with a valid Photo ID
    • Physical Evaluation Form from your school or coach for us to complete
    • Glasses or contacts, if needed for vision exam

Most school physical exams also require your child's immunization record along with the completed physical evaluation form.

  • Does Accent Urgent Care have x-ray services?

Yes, we offer state-of-the-art x-ray imaging with results in under 30 minutes or less.

  • Does Access Urgent Care accept insurance?

For your convenience, we are also able to file insurance claims on your behalf. Visit our Pricing & Insurance page for more information.

  • Can I receive treatment at Access Urgent Care without insurance?
